Worries With Mesh Removal Just Ahead
Sep 18th, 2012 | By Jane Akre | Category: Your TurnIs it possible to feel normal again after mesh removal? What is feeling normal?
Linda, the Teapapers blogger wonders as her surgery looms 3 weeks ahead and she worries. Although she is going to Dr. Raz, perhaps the best surgeon in the world for removing difficult transvaginal mesh, she still worries about the outcome.
What about those who cannot get to Dr. Raz, I wonder. Are they left with partial removals and an expensive procedure that doesn’t seem to bring a resolution, and lots of questions whether they will ever been pain-free again?
Still Linda worries….. read her blog here. Linda is amazing in my opinion!

Thank you, your candid thoughts along with the sharing of others is sure to encourage us who have faced many surgeries, or just going to the first one! A professional counselor told me to expect to have more frequent nightmares as the surgery date approached. The subconcious mind works on things that we feel too overwhelmed to deal with. It is natural to feel “silly” after reacting to something and it seems out of proportion, however we’ve been traumatized and I think we’d be crazy not to go to the worst case scenario. Of course, we need to concentrate on the positive on purpose (it takes work) and try to keep a balance. What we tell ourselves makes a huge difference in our attitudes. Again thank you!! My surgery is less than a month away too (#8) and this reminder has helped me get my focus and better attitude back.
